Glass sculpture developed from investigation into the history of electric light and vacuum tubes. Referencing the human pursuit to capture and store energy, ‘Black Bulbs’ incorporate neon light suspended between their polarities. The darkness of these dense black forms act as a mechanism for inverting light, to prevent its escape and preserve its containment.
